Boys Junior Varsity Bowling, Boys Varsity Bowling · A Win For Both Varsity And JV In First Bowling Match Of The Year

It was an eventful evening at Buckeye Lanes in North Olmsted as the Amherst Comets faced the Firelands Falcons.  Our Varsity Team started out strong with Antonio Rodriguez leading the boys with a 493 for two games.  He bowled a 257 and a 236.  Chandan Weinsier also bowled well with a 202 & 233 game for a 435 2 game series.  The remaining boys on the team, Zachary Zakrajsek (372), JP Gregory (408), Thomas Heider (148) and Logan Stewart (155) (note that Logan and Thomas bowled a SAW game with each bowling only one game in the match) helped propel the boys to their first win of the season with a total pin count of 2382! Firelands had a total score of 1609.

Our JV Team also bowled well in their first outing, and although they bowled unopposed, they bowled well as a team bowling a 201 in their 2nd baker game.  Nathan Palos was the leader today bowling a 341 series with games of 183 & 158.  Our Senior Tyler Strauser bowling 146 & 137 for a 283 series.  This is Tyler’s first year bowling with the Comets and we are glad he joined.  The JV Team competed well with the help of their fellow bowlers in Jacob Nunez (293), Copley Nichols (114), Will Korbel (118), Jacob Stawicki (252).

Our next match is Wednesday November 18th at Slovak’s in Lorain.
