The Lady Comets Varsity Bowling team won its first ever SWC title by placing 1st today at the SWC Tournament at Buckeye Lanes. The team kept on rolling with outstanding performances by Makayla Velasquez who kept her torrid pace with a 682 (214/254/214) series finishing as the top individual bowler and Sabrina Stawicki with a strong 614 (232/211/172) series to finish second individually. Solid efforts were provided by Hannah Aschenbach with a 547 (186/189/172) series (5th individually), Allison Taylor with a 487 (159/168/160) series (11th individually) and Amanda McElheny with a 399 (133/134/132) series (20th individually). Rachel McDerment added some key strikes for the Comets during multiple Baker Games. The Lady Comets led the whole day and totaled 2729 pins after their first 3 games. Then added Baker Games of 155/201/136/257/203/171 for the 3852 total.
